The history of Bijasan Mata Temple is one thousand years old. Nine forms of the Goddess are present here. Once upon a time, this temple has a special identity for having a forest of black deer around and for Tantra-Mantra, Siddhi. In the past, the mother was sitting on the platform. The temple was built by Maharaja Shivajirao Holkar of Indore in 1760.

Speciality: Bijasan Mata is considered to be good luck and a daughter-in-law. Due to this, after marriage, not only the state but also the newlyweds from all over the country come here to visit and worship the mother. It is told that Alha-Udal had also sought a vow from the mother to defeat the king of Mandu.

The then Holkar ruler had built a temple here in Maratha style for the nine forms of Mother sitting on a simple soil, stone platform. Later many developments took place.

A fair is held in the temple during Chaitra and Sharadiya Navratras. According to an estimate, during Navratri, more than 3 lakh devotees from all over the country come here for darshan and worship.
