The sculptures of Lord Hanuman are usually seen in a standing position. But at Pitra Parvat, you will see Lord Hanuman sitting in a meditative state. Worshipping Lord Hanuman in a sitting position is considered very rare and this is the reason most people visit this place. Moreover, there are two deities of Lord Hanuman established on the mountain Pitra Parvat. One is established for tourism and attrition & the other one is where devotees worship Lord Hanuman

The one which is the major point of attraction here is 71 feet long and weighs 108 tons. Yes, this huge sculpture is made with 8 elements in golden color. It took 125 workers and 7 years to complete this huge beautiful deity of Lord Hanuman. It shines in bright golden color when the sun is in the sky and the same golden color looks utterly soothing and peaceful in the moonlight. Right below this huge sculpture has established a temple that has the small deity of Lord Hanuman for the devotees to worship. Lord Hanuman is seen sitting in the lap of Mother Anjani in this temple.

People do not visit Pitra Parvat only for worshipping Lord Hanuman but they also enjoy the great view this place offers to visitors. As the sculpture and the temple is situated on a mountain-top, this place offers a great view of the city. With lush and fresh greenery, one can experience a peaceful vibe here. If you are looking for a break from your busy life and want to get close to nature, Pitra Parvat is the perfect place for you. The reason behind the greenery here is that the place is open for people who wish to plant trees here. People who have lost their close ones are allowed to plant trees in their remembrance here. So, you will find a lot of trees here with the names of people on them.

If you have yet not visited Pitra Parvat, it is time you should visit here with your friends, family or close ones. Moreover, include this place in your checklist if you ever visit Indore in the future. Be it a short weekend break, or a devotional urge to visit a peaceful temple, Pitra Parvat is the best place for either of these desires.
